I haven't read the book, but I completely agree. Having lived and worked in India for 10 years and then in US for 7 years, I realize that Canada is quite a bit different from States. Its is not the infrastructure that differs, but the culture is dramatically different. In the end, I believe it boils down to the fact that US is a capitalist country and Canada is socialist. Canadians do not have business in their blood and neither they strive to have it, which is not necessarily a bad thing, just different.
I have to agree with Jughead.
Until and unless we stop thinking like children we will not get anywhere.
Inferior complex and playing victim will not get us anywhere.
Get on with your professional life, do your best and get promoted on Merits not complains. Compete and look at other companies : Americans or Canadians will both pay the salary.
The issue of Nationally and Jelousy is our worst enemy.
