Dear CD's,
just wanted to share another bad experience at the same place. I had been to Newin centre food court with my parents and aunt to eat our lunch there. as soon as I entered the food court, a decently dressed Indian / sri lankan lady followed us and asked where we were from. When we said Chennai, she said, i know tamil and started to speak in tamil. After a few sentences, she told me that she was not fluent in Tamil but was more fluent in English and started talking about English. she has some 4 or 5 religious books on hand and started takling about life / karma etc... Since I did not want to offened anyone, I listened to her. after talking for 5 minutes, I told her that I was a christian. Immediately she responded by saying that she was educated in a catholic school in Chennai and that she also attended church and said "Hail Mary' every day ( I am a protestant which I did not tell her). then She told me to buy a book for $ 2. I told her that I was recently fired from my job and was hard pressed for money. I also told her that I am living on borrowed money to live by. She then responded by saying that when I can afford $ 7 for lunch and when I was able to come to a food court, then I could afford $ 2 for a book and which will help others. She told me to buy the book and then give it to some one who will be blessed. At this moment, I went away from her.
Any other Cd's who faced the same harrasment around this place?
