Idea is great. No doubt. Webmaster should open a special forum named as 'Post Your Success Story - How CD.com helped you begin your new life'.

Getting authenticated stories thru either an open-ended posting of the story or thru a pointer question and answer pre-designed online one-page interview.

This will help getting a good deal of authenticated data for press releases.

Thats a good idea guys.

Though I would say instead of projecting Canadian Desi just a web site , we should project "Canadian Desi" as a group of voluntary desis in Canada willing to help the new immigrants in terms of initial settlement issues like airport pickup, finding suitable place to live, applying for SIN cards, bank accounts and jobs.

How about that ?
