Hello Cd’s,
This has been my another horrible experience with Desi’s in Canada. I am writing my experience so that other Desi’s can be more careful with their Desi counterparts or collegues.
There is a desi lady in my office and we were not really friendly for pver a year. 4 months back 2 of my closest desi’s quit office and hence to pass time, me and the other desi in my office used to be very close like sharing our experiences and eating together in the lunch room etc…
2 months back, Me and the Desi lady had to work together on Saturday. On that day, she asked me as to why I did not change my job since I was smart and clever. I told her that I was not comfortable in leaving this office and going to another office for a better salary since I may get laid off or I may not be able to live up to their expectations and that in Canada that we really had to have a stable job to pay our bill. She got very angry and told me that if I was not willing to take any risks then I was not a man and that it was better that I die. She also told me that I was chicken and that I did not have any guts. I did not say anything more but just laughed it off. In Canada, I did not want to start playing politics in an office which pays just $12, $13 for a professional work.
Today, the same Desi lady told me that she got a job offer call from a bigger office and which paid almost 1.5 times her current salary. She told me that she was not willing to take it as they had laid off many people previously and that hence she was not comfortable I working for the office. I told her mildly the same thing that she told me 2 months back that she should take risks to come up in life etc.(without telling her that 2 months back, she gave me the same advise). She immediately gave me a sarcastic look so as to say, who the hell I was to advise her. She looked at me as though she was speaking to an Idiot.
The main reason why I am telling this is that there are Desi people, who will try to brainwash you to leave your current job and go to some other job, so that they can get promotion when you leave the office or tell the boss that the individual that left the organization is not bondable and that they were and . Just keep cool and take a decision based on the facts that you know and not what the other person says.
This is also one of the reason why I am really hesitant to be friends with Desi’s in Canada.

I am a Gents and not a Ladies.
Where is the Breach of Trust here ? She gave you a piece of suggestion and you did not accept it and then she got a job and she did not accept the offer , because she was not comfortable. This is all Professional decision making.I don't see any breach of Trust or anything globally about desis or their attitudes.

We will find a way or we will make one
You consider this to be a "horrible experience"?
Flip a birdie the next time someone says you are less of a man because you don't like to take risks and move on. Mmmmkay?
........ I vowed to be silent

Hello TK,
I am one of your regular readers like many others. I do not know, how you will take my advice, but sincerely I will also suggest you not to stick to your this job just because you think that others are eyeing on your (coveted) position. Try to see the reasons in the ‘Permanency’ of your present job. You have mentioned some of them in your previous posts.
