Any Graduate or Undergraduate Mechanical Engineer out there working in the field. Please guide me. I wish to take a fresh start. What graduate program has a good demand in Canadian job market ? I am prepared to move anywhere in Canada. My background is that of energy management in steam system.
Hello there Bikhoo,
The jobs that you are expecting to land are in the POWER Engineering Group. They were also called Stationary Engineers. If you do have previous experience in Boilers, HVAC, and Turbines etc., they is one heck of a demand for these qualified Engineers, currently, and they are widely scattered in Canada. If you cannot find more details in your search, I will do some research for you or wait for some one in that field to give you a run down of the jobs and their requirements. Just to give you an idea, there are a few that are going to pop up in Fort McMurray in Alberta and where ever the tar sands developments are taking place. Hit 'fort mcmurray' in google and see comes up. Please keep this posting alive with a response, after a few days. Please do your own search and let us know how well you have fared in this. Hope this helps.
Freddie.
There are over 1300 companies in the sectors that you have experience in. Turbine related companies are about 200...
Please do not just think of the top 10 companies but the rest of the business that supports the next work from field service to distributors..
There are 5-10 times more jobs in the power sector in Ontario as there are a lot of manufacturers and distributors concentrated here. The US simly is 10-15 times bigger.
Anyway keep applying
