I have found very useful information already on this site as always regarding visitor visa. I just have few more questions:

I have applied for my mother's Permanent Residency last year. Now I want to apply for her visitor visa for 6 months.

Q1. Is it allowed? I remember there was a clause somewhere that if Permanent Residency is applied then that person cannot get visitor visa?

Q2. Then I heard that it is changed and now it is allowed but the sponsor in Canada has to show \"Hardship\". Does this mean I have to show that I am in some kind of hardship and then my mother can get 5 year multiple visa?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I believe u can apply for her visitor visa. whether they give or not is upto them.

i ve not heard anything abt "Hardship".

Yes, it is very much possible, if you keep some of the important factors in mind.

I have filed my mother's PR and had applied her Temporary Visa that she got it and has reached Toronto last week.

I've heard that it is extremely diffcult to get a visiting visa for people above the age of 70. Is that really true? I would like my mother (70+) to come and visit us, she is currently located in Bombay. What is the best way that I can acquire a visiting visa for her. What are the papers etc that I may need to send her.
Any suggestion will be useful.

It is NOT extremely difficult to sponsor someone 70 plus in age, You will need to take medical insurance and send a copy of the policy along with the application, Do not apply for a 6 month stay - just 2 or 3 months (they will anyway allow a 6 month stay).

A 6 month stay makes the visa application difficult.
