Bangalore, May 13: Rock n' roll fans of Bangalore will be treated to a performance by Aerosmith, one of the most popular bands of this genre, on June 2.

The 33-year-old band which has chosen this city for its first ever concert in India, will be regaling the audience with some of their best compositions, including Looks like a lady, Living on the edge, Walk this way, Sweet emotions and Falling in Love.

The band, comprising legendary Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton and Joey Krammer has over 40 chartbusters to its credit.

The India concert is part of Aerosmith's 2007 World Tour. Kicked off on April 12 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the tour will mark the band's first performance outside North America and Japan in eight years, the organisers said.

The Latin America leg will be followed by Eurasia and North America, Apart from India, the band will also perform in United Arab Emirates for the first time ever.

The band is being brought to the city by Royal Challenge (United Spirits Limited) in association with DNA Networks. (Agencies)

This isn't new at all. Bangalore has hosted Jethro Tull, Deep Purple, Bryan Adams and many others long back.

Yeah I know I was there at the Deep Purple concert.

What isn't new, that Aerosmith is playing at Chennai? All I am saying is that more and more groups are deciding to play in India. And that too heavy names.
Roger Waters still fill stadiums, so does Bryan Adams, so does Aerosmith.
Ian Anderson has lost his lustre but I did go see him here at Massey Hall.
Aqualung and Locomotive Breath still pack a wallop.

And their granddaddy line: 'Excommunicate me on my way to Sunday School'- from another song.
