Hi Guys,

First time I am going to rent out my basement apartment in Markham. Do I need to sign any Tanent/Landlord agreement. What people usually does, ask tanent to signed one year lease or month to month.

From where I can download a rent/lease agreement from internet.

Regards

Hi Arun,

It is highly advisable for you to sign a contract with the basement tenant. Wether you offer to lease for month-to-month or yearly is your decision (I prefer yearly myself, but it all depends on your circumstances as well).

If you want any lease agreement forms just let me know and I can send you a few that I have through email.

If you have any other questions just reply via post or for an immediate response just give me a call.

Good luck!
