No need to be incorporated if it is not a condition to get the contract. Any form of ownership is good to get a contrcat job/contract.

Assuming that you will be arranging labor, in that case worker compensation is your responsibility. Read rules under that section.

You can contract as a sole proprieter. Once your income exceeds the limit, you should charge GST as well (after obtaining GST number). This is free.

If you want to write off more expenditures towards company, then it is better to contract after incorporating yourself.

I have worked in both the categories above.
