I don't understand much of the Punjabi - and hence I dont like that much. I haven't been to any concert recently - but some 10-15 years ago, his concerts were good. I attended two of those and I still cherish the experience.
And he got lucky - with Chitra Singing for him. I Love her Voice & Singing more than Jagjit.
Don't just talk ... How about sharing their MP3?

Febpreet, I've had a pleasure of dining with him at the Indian ambassador house (we live in Latin America and the Indian community is very small here so it's not a big deal to be invited at counsel’s functions). This is true that he has a drinking problem but don’t know if he drinks at shows too, I couldn't attend his show but went for the dinner, in person he was very sober, nice and soft spoken. He definitely has a voice to die for.

Have you ever imagined folks... his drinking gives him the emotion he gets in his voice. Of course live shows are a no-no for me. I prefer the CDs (or rather ripped MP3's 
)

So guys this is Jagjit singh. He introduced Talat Aziz in 80's. Has always been instrumental in promoting new talent. Sachin seems to be the latest in this list.
