As per a report India has become a full member from June 2009. So does anyone know if Indian engineers are eligible directly for PE with the 1 year experience....?

looking at this link it seems like Indian Engineer can apply for PEng at India, which may replace to PEng Canada. Only Engineering degree of India would not directly eligible for PEng Canada. This is just my understanding. Experienced members can clarify more.

I am also of the same opinion as yours. Instead of writing P.Eng here we can apply and write through Engineers India. The procedure seems to be the same but I am not sure of the advantages and disadvantages. I was planning to apply for PEng by July 2010. Now I am not sure, should I wait and watch.
