The hard disk of my home computer got " crashed" recently. Is there a way I could recover the data from the computer? Any place in Mississauga who can help?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it could be possible to get your data back. Let me ask you some Questions before getting into specifics.
* How Many Drives did you have? C:\, D:\, E:\ ???
* What exactly does happen when you start your computer? It just blanks out or you hear 'click' - over & over?
* How old was the Drive/Computer & Which Operating System?
Your best bet, as already suggested, is to use this crashed drive as secondary & try.

To add to the questions' list of Maharaj:
- What computer are we talking about? Desktop or a laptop ? Model / make, etc.
(Reason to ask the question is : To know what kind of Hard Drive it may have i.e. IDE / SATA and that, it is easier to recover data from the Desktop than on a laptop. I have hands-on experience on these kind of data recovery as I work for I.T. by profession)
- What is the problem on your computer i.e. What is the error when it tries to load Windows(?) or the other OS?
