This is my first query after registering in jan 2006.
I have successfully completed my immigration interview and looking fwd to land in canada in near future.

I would like to know if itz ok to have a GSM handset ( PDA) in canada and how is the popularity/availability of GSM in canada. Can u plz provide some of the best GSM service providers.Is it reliable,in the cost factor and quality of the service they provide

though you havent mentioned the type of handset, given its a PDA it would have the band thats supported; make sure the phone is "unlocked". "Rogers" has a pretty reliable service & is posssibly the only GSM provider in Canada.

There is not much of a choice when it comes to carriers & cost of cell phone service in Canada - I heard comparatively its cheaper to use a cell phone in Afghanistan
