Citz. application receipted date : 29-Sep-03
Received acknowledgement & book : 29-Oct-03
CPC started processing : 16-Dec-03
File transferred to local office (Windsor, ON): 22-Jan-04
Does anyone know the Windsor office, citz appl process time lines?
1) Does the background check (by RCMP) be requested by CPC-NS or the Windsor CIC ?? Based on the gap between (recept date - process start date) OR (process start date - file transfer date), I was thinking the background check might have been completed. Please confirm!
2) When can I expect the Test date?
3) Approx gap between the test date & oath?
Thanks for all your responses!

Hello Windsorite,
Thank you very much for posting your schedule. That helped alot in knowing the Windsor office processing times.
I visited the Windsor office last week, and was told that it would take another 2-3 months to deliver the test date letters as they had around 300 cases to be scheduled for test and they were trying to group all together.
Given that and based on your schedule, I am expecting to receive the test date letter by the end of April and test might be in mid May.
Looking at both our schedules, Windsor CIC seems to be real FAST...
Isn't it
Hi,
I had my test today at windsor citizenship court. I reached there at 2:30, waited in the main lobby for 15 min. There were around 50 people scheduled for test. At 2:45, a lady officer opened the test room and asked us to take out our passport, landing paper or PR Card and Notice to appear for test. Our documents were checked. I only brought my PR Card and didn't bring my landing paper, so the officer told me to bring it on day of oath ceremony otherwise I won't be granted citizenship. At 3:00 pm, the main door was closed and the officer started distributing test to all of us. It looked like there were around 5 different tests floating around. Then she started explaining what to do in the test and she mentioned since its march and because of spring break, the citizenship judge won't be here so there wont be any ceremony in March plus there are around 150 people waiting for their oath ceremony, so we wont get our notices for oath till end of April or in May. Our test started at 3:15 PM. I finished my test in 5 mins max, submitted to the officer and left the building.
Hope this info helps.
Windsorite,
Thanks for sharing your experience in detail, that helps !!
Q: what were they looking at in passport? Is that to confirm the name & photo or do they care "place of issue"?? (cause I had 2 pp's, one is expired and the other extended (in 2001, from Indian Embasy, Chicago)).
Is that ok??
Oh my......,received Finger Print notice today. Visited local police office, also called up finger printing agency (The Commissionaires), both have appointments only after April-1. Seems to be a long wait still..........
Any one from Windsor had the FP experience?
How long is it going to be, to get the written test notice after the FP is sent to CIC?? Please share your experiences. Thanks!
