Hi
Did you pass the G test in Guelph? What are the routes that they normally follow? Is it easy than any of the test centers in GTA?

It is no brainer. My wife passed the exam last week. She went on Saturday and nearly 99% of drivers were South Asian. Her examiner (an oriental) was very rude but in the end she passed.

The route is 80 Km highway (sometime lot of trucks) but not like 400 series. There are redlights and rail crossing on the highway. Entry is at 60 KM. One common reason examiner will fail is that the driver was slow in merging with the traffic. Obstruction to following traffic. Three G2 test for sure..Three point turn, Emergency Stop and Paraller Parking.

Also recommend Kitchener. I got my G there - it was a breeze. Before the test I drove on the roads around the Drive Test Centre and familiarized myself with intersections, stop signs etc. It was a good move because the examiner chose one of the roads where I had driven before and I sort of remembered the layout. The highway has a 80kmph limit and the only tricky part was that the distance between entry into and the exit from the highway was too short. Also had a 3 point turn and a parking on a side road. All ok in the end - minor errors but passed.

I was googling for 'driving test route Guelph' and this popped up 2nd on the list ... I guess we are doing good as a popular forum ....

In case anyone can share experiences for the Guelph Test Route or can recommend an ace Instructor (1-2 classes) for the G test and 401 s ... please post contact details here ... passing a test is one thing but learning the real skills for the 401s is the main objective ...

Folks ,

I have my G Test coming up in Guelph this week . To those who have taken a G test @ Guelph - could you please share the possible routes ? Is the Highway known as Hanlon and do they expect to merge in it from Speedvale ?

I intend to go an hour early and practice on some routes there so as to gain confidence ........ Would appreciate any pointers ... Thx ..

Hi Fido,

I passed the G Test from Guelph.

I can walk you through the routes as I live and work close to the examination center.

Alternatively you may take the contact no. of the local instructor who has been in this profession for the last 22 years:

Vic (Vikram) Sharma of ABC College Driving School.

Bus : (519) 822 5122
Cell : (519) 241 4884

The instructor will charge around $ 40 for atleast one class. However hiring the instructor is something like getting the question paper before the exam.

Please let me know if I can help you in anyway though I passed the exam without the help of the Instructor.

Regards,
AAA.
