ICICI Bank gets US nod to set up branch in NewYork >>http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/ICICI_Bank_gets_US_nod_to_set_up_branch_in_New_York/articleshow/2476226.cms

The US regulators have given permission to ICICI Bank, the second largest financial lender in India with assets worth over $91 billion, to open a branch here.

The branch would engage in wholesale banking business, including trade financing and factoring services to US-based subsidiaries of Indian firms, the US Federal Reserve said.

That's a good news. Hope ICICI learns from their overseas operations and hires locals rather than bring untrained staff from desh.

These bloody idiots are a bunch of baboons
I had such harrowing time with them that had to cancel my account within a week of opening.
They just have no idea what they are doing....and to top it all call their call centre to listen to worst crap

As I read replies posted on ICICI bank,I fear not to open account with any branch of this bank in either in India or overseas.I am happy with current banking with Syndicate Bank in India and CIBC bank in Canada.

Having account with ICICI in India, I found that they have way too many customers to handle, and there are big queues in the bank. Everytime I visited them last month, I felt so prompted to close my account and open elsewhere. That s what I did. I wont fall for the Shahrukh's ad.

LOL, good one. I doubt if he has an a/c with ICICI. He will get paid big for the ad.

In Bangalore, there is a long line for the ICICI ATM machines. Most people dont know how to operate. Thats understandable since no one from the bank show them how to.
