Hi, i have just gotten married and moved in with my husband to toronto, Ontario. I am a green card Holder and he is a Canadian citizen. I have a few questions.
am i legible to open a bank account in toronto with my green card? what do i do medical wise.. meaning.. is there a way to get the health card before the whole process takes place. and if not how do the medical facilities work in case of emergencies. Also how do we start applying for my status and what information do we need.
help will be appreciated.

Your US green card lets you stay in Canada for upto 6 months without visa.
As for bank account, you can't open it without a SIN (Social Insurance Number) - the Canadian equivalent of SSN in US.
You won't be given a health card unless you are sponsered by your spouse and you become a landed immigrant here. Until then you have to buy your own health insurance.
