The Airbus 330-200 flight from Chennai to Toronto is the airline’s first long-haul service from the southern region.

The flight takes off from Chennai at 0115 hrs and arrives in Brussels at 0715 hrs. It will depart Brussels at 0915 hrs and arrive in Toronto at 1255 hrs. These times will be changed from November 4. The inaugural economy return fare is Rs 36,000 plus taxes.

I've always had good experiences in all airlines so far - i've travelled in all classes (20% 1st/business, 80% economy)

Air India - no problem with flight services, only occassional delays
Air Canada - all good
Jet Airways - all very good, cheerful
Cathay - nice & clean
Lufthansa - all good
Gulf Air - all good, managed to make a good friendship with a Kenyan air hostess
Emirates - always good
Saudia - good, excellent timely service
Etihad - delays but still good overall
Indian Airlines - nice and fun, delays sometimes
Etheopean Airlines - nice, friendly
Canadian Airlines - was good - does not exist anymore!
Canada 3000 - folded!
Sunjet - nice leather seats!

I was wondering...what are your experiences with Emirates regarding baggage?
are they lenient with a kilo or two?? How about the carry on 7 kilos is all
we can take???Could some of you shed some light

I have noticed the same while flying by Ek... but when I did not get my Non-veg meal (pre-ordered whilst doing the online booking) and was offered a veg meal. I refused to eat it. I made a hungama - I asked for the supervisor and then the Head.. in the end I did get to eat a 1st class non-veg meal.... dont let anything go by... we are paying for the service its not free and it should be given. EK flights are not cheap..

However, I now fly AI - I like their services better whatever the scenario.

Good idea Venrasq.
These days people even complain that Jet Airway's service is not good.
Incidentally, Domestic Air India only gives free food during short haul flights in India
Peace

Emirates used to have the best customer service, now its Etihad. Travel by Etihad if possible.

I enjoyed Etihad service last year when flying to Penang (Malaysia). Due to last minute booking, my trip was convoluted from Detroit to Frankfurt (Delta), Frankfurt to Abu Dhabi (Etihad), Abu Dhabi (Etihad) to KUL and then to Penang via Malaysia Air.

Etihad upgraded me to First Class on their lap even though I did not have any special points/miles, etc.
