Hello
Here is my problem:
I was at a university and I failed my program,my school proposed me to give me a conditional acceptance for the summer and pass my 2 courses but I refused and decided to change institution and program.I applied to college and got accepted but while i was taking care of all the papers and pay the tuition I passed the date of my temporary visa and I applied for restoration of status.I received a letter saying that my demand has been transferred to the local office.Does anyone think that I have a good on getting my visa restored?
Will I have to do an interview?
Thank you very much

Hello Terrence,
I am under the impression that you were doing a Graduate or Undergraduate program in a University. Failing a subject or two and realising the same after the announcement of the results and then applying to stay here for an additional period to continue with the studies either at the same university or another and having been accepted by the Next University to complete the requirewments does not bar you from getting the Immigration Visa for that period. That does show your determination and efforts. I will give you an E for the efforts.
I am also under the impression that you are now enrolled for the same, having paid the fees, are asking us after the completion of the procedures. I suppose that you have done the reporting of the same to the Immigration Authorities also. Now you will have to wait till you hear from them. It may be slow, and it may be a nail biting period. You will have to bear with it, till they make their decision and write to you about it. I am of the opinion it will be in the affirmative. So, be patient and do your studies as if it will come through. This time, concentrate on the studies and do it well. Since it is a minor load you ought to do better.
Now here is a question to you.. Were does 'the College' and 'school' enter into this picture? Are you mixing up with the University as we call it here with the "College" as they used to call it down home? If so, it is O.K. and nothing is astray. I understand your usage of the terms and the language and the haste in your communication.
If they call you for an interview, then, please be prepared to provide them with all of the academic details and also the financial backing and support that you currently have in your possession. Do not forget the current acceptance letter and your current enrolment too. If you are delaying your start of the semister, then, please tell them that also. They need to have a very clear time frame too, from you.
Now get yourself disciplined into a very rigorous mode of study and do well and show them how excellently you can do the same. Try and come up to the top.
Good Luck.
Freddie.
