If this is the pathetic situation of Bell Canada, I feel that you should take the initiative and pull those buggers to Consumer Court for Harassment.
Even in India, the things have started to change and I feel that the courts (Consumer Courts) in Canada give you justice in no time...
And, finally, this would (Probably) teach them a lesson that they can't simply treat (F**K) people like that...

Well Sahib, result of ones fight should not hold him/her back from the fighting. If you won't raise your voice you are not doing good for anyone. If I would be in Manan or your friend's situation, I would raise my voice and would fight regardless the outcome.
Atleast by the end of the day I would be able to tell myself I fought and did whatever was possible.
I am with Manan in his fight with Bell and I am sure other Canadian Desis would also come forward to give him moral support. And let me tell you, sooner or later, these fight does make difference. If everyone will sit quite this country would be no different than other troubled countries.

I am glad to read your motivational replies. It is infact such morale boosters which will generate a consciousness amongst we all Desis.
I have no second opinion what Sahib98 wants to convey. Infact he is highlighting the sorry state of Canadian affairs. But at the same time it should not restrain from exposing the misdeeds of any so called Giant corporations like Bell Canada.
Do you think big companies like Pepsi, Coke,Ford, General Motors or even our own Reliance can afford a bad name in Media for their own goof ups ?
Unfortunately our ethnic newspapers are busy minting dollars and have forgotten that they have a social responsibility for Canadian immigrants. Instead they are simply spoonfeeding with the mix of news from India/Punjab which serves very little for the growth of immigrants.
I am yet to come across a reasonable good newspaper which carries Readers Forum/Complaints section.
Unless these so called newspapers (I would prefer to call them 'advertising papers') become a link between commoner and Government, there wil be no respite from such inefficient service of Giant corporations. All claims of being a visible community in Canada are hollow if our genuine problems are not sorted accordingly.
Well, this issue of newspapers is itself debatable and I would not like to pursue further.
For the time being, I look forward to Canadian desis facing similar problems with Bell Canada so that I can prepare a feature and get it splashed accordingly.
Together we have to make it happen for our own betterment.
I am sure we all will get justice from some corner or the other.

I have a suggestion.
Whoever has a problem with Bell Canada, I can represent all of them under one folder.
Provide me a signed copy of your grievances and then I will have a session with their public relations department to have some solutions to this issue.
Bell Canada is a big corporation and we have to ensure that they give their very best to their customers.
Now we are inc Canada. we have to ensure that nobody give us a shit.
How can we accept it/
I am even prepared to take it legally if you all agree.

Great to have you amongst Canadian Desi community who can take up the matter withthe higher ups in Bell Canada and seek justice.
I do not think anybody of us who has narrated his/her story will avoid giving in writing the bad experiences with Bell Canada.
We already have about 4-5 glaring examples in this thread alone.
Just to update you that I received two calls from Bell Canada Customer Care in which they offered me one month and maximum three month credit for this scene. A month credit is equal to 53 C$. I have politely declined these offers as the same is not even a bit of genuine losses suffered by me. The Customer Care Executive was behaving as if she is handing me a cheque of million dollars in charity. Bull shit !
Sanjeevji, I hope all those who have faced hardships with Bell Canada in the past will come up with their grievances to ensure that the Corporation mends its ways.
This is the only way to ensure effective return of our payments toBell Canada.
