As most of us know, yahoo is closing service photo service from 20th sept 2007.
They kept option to transfer this photos to any One of Five websites( Free)
I just want to know this is only regarding to ur YAHOO ALBUM which we shares with Friends & others. OR
It is also applicable to all photos & other attachments which we sent to others or received from others
Can someone clarrify this?
Also can some one suggest which of Five services are best to transfer this Yahoo Photos
Hi there,
Yes, unfortunately Yahoo Photos is closing down(?). I don't know if they give 5 choices to transfer picture to a free site. I didn't receive any, rather they automatically transferred my pictures to another site called - Flickr, which is free for the first 3 months and then either you transfer your picture to any other site or pay them. I hate this idea actually. It looks like Yahoo is going to earn a big way.
I Have another set of my wedding album on Yahoo but I am yet to receive any notification for the transfer. Let's see. It would be a nightmere for me if I'd need to transfer all the 400 pictures to any other site manually. Let's see - no choice so as to speak.
As per Info on internet, it looks Kodak Gallary seems to be best
Also I am not sure they are sending any notification to each.
But make sure to do before 20.09.07 as they are deleting
Just check yahoo website & click on photos
In addition to above,
you don't ahve to transfer one photo at a time,
its a just single click & all albums will transfer to new place
Hi febreet !
I understand that flickr services are FREE if I am not mistaken ..
Yahoo has provided Flickr PRO for 3 months free and than it is chargeable ..
So far I do not know the difference in Pro and regular account..
I hope it stays this way ..
