My Dear Friend;
Canadian Desi members care or less about your home buy whether it is in Cambridge or it is in Kitchener and the same with few reality agents who are active on the forum not responded up to 14 days because it is not going to be a could commission from the seller for their business due to long travel,time and cost. That is the reason your post is sitting last 14 days without any advise. If it is a Value Village or Goodwill purchase, you would have received at least 100 replies by this time unfortunately you are buying home which is not every bodies common helping interests.
Buying your home can be a very exciting and very challenging experience. There are so many things to think of ; Location, Resale Value,Community, Peaceful living,Colleges/University,Malls,Highways; Desi grocery.... etc...
My suggestion would be Waterloo and you are not a Napoleon; Basically Kitchener and Waterloo are the Twin Cities; Kitchener is referred to as Downtown and the Waterloo referred to as Upper Town.
Waterloo has a world famous wonderful University which is a plus point from higher education point of view and a business point of view; if you are planning to rent it out a portion of your house and a basement for the Desi or International students. Commute from Waterloo to Cambridge would not be challenging one as the travel distance is short.
Drive through on Saturday and Sunday to see Open Houses and to get a feel existing Market. Talk to local reality agents about your buying parameters and they will be in a position to guide you at your indirect home buying cost. My advise again study the area and buy in the Winter time to strike a good deal. Currently the real estate market is hot across the Province and artificially looks it is a sellers market, but really not. Please do not sign a exclusive agreement with an agent to limit your searching opportunities.

"News and Events" .. are you sure this is the right place to discuss this?
I am looking for a place in Markham. New home prices are obviously very high in heart of Markham like Mcowan Road/Markham Road/ Kenndey Road. However, there is lots of Subdivisions coming on East End between Nineth Line and Markham Road. I am looking for suggestion if someone has bought house near 9th line & 14 Avenue or 9th Line and Hwy 7 seems lots of New home devlopments is going on nearby that area. How is the area in terms of community centers, schools library,transit.
Thanks in advance.
Kitchener would be a better place to buy a home than cambridge. However if you frequently travel to Miss/Tor/Brampton then cambrdige can be close.
A similar house will also be cheaper in cambridge
