What you can do is buy a used Luxury car with/without warranty. e.g You can proably get a very good deal on a 2004-2005 - IS250. Wait for the warranty to get over and then get extended warranty in Canada.
Any purchase >=30,000$ makes sense to buy from US.
I know people who have got Camry at 17,000$ in US

Hey guys,
Toyota dealership in TO (atleast) honours the warranty and Toyota Canada confirms that American warranties are valid in Canada.
I will not take the dealer's word for it. Get it from him in writing (email).
Still you would only be restricted to one dealer.
I would send a email to toyota canada and get it in writing before buying from US.

I guess Toyota/Honda does not honor warranty on new vehicles. But if it is six months old (used in US) they will honor the warranty if you bring it here
I have emails from Toyota Canada confirming that the warranty is valid in Canada.
Can you please share the emails from Toyota Canada with this forum. You can remove you email ID and copy and paste the text of the email.
will do so AFTER I've taken delivery of my van, hopefully before end of this month.
