Dear friends at CD, I am an Indian Chartered Accountant arrive in Toronto in May 2008. At present I am working in the Middle East on BaaN ERP. I would conclude my things here in March and proceed to India in the middle of March 2008.
I am planning to take up a course in SAP Finance module in Bangalore and come to Canada. Please note that I don't have time to go through one cycle of implementation in India since my Visa expires on May 8th.
My query is if I come trained in SAP Finance module, without experience of atleast one cycle of implementation experience but with the experience of implementatin of BaaN, is it possible to get an opening in Canada?
Friends, please reply. I need to make decision between CFA and SAP with the time available to me.
Thanks in advance.
Hi subbu1962,
I don't want to discourage you, but I know 3 guys in my circle, they are SAP certified from last 8 months and still searching for the job. They went to USA as well for the interviews, but no luck. Go by your gut feeling.
Best of luck.
If the employers like you then they will hire you. If they have reservations then even if you have 10 certification, these will be not of any help. Only one thing works here, your tongue. How well and clear you converse. Try to improve that if you are not good. It will only help yo .
Thank you very much scorpio and Desi#1. Desi #1, thanks for replying to me again. You guys have been very helpful to me.
By the grace of god, I am good at speaking. Let us hope for the best. In fact, I was looking for an ultimate situation wherein employers' won't ignore me. That is the reason I am trying CFA,CMA and SAP. But I need to choose one among these. hence needed advice.
CGA goes without saying. For whatever it is worth, I must look forward to the available exemptions and complete the rest of the papers and atleast have one canadian qualification of some strength!!!!
