In the middle east foreigners behave properly even if they do not understand the local language or if the locals do not understand your language because they know if they misbehave on the airport or anywher ein the country they will be in trouble.

If your statements are true, it is indeed very noble of the RCMP to have tasered him 4 times and thus kill him ( Since even one shot of the Taser has been shown to kill people), b'cos if he had landed and after some period of time in Canada gone to the Emergency department of any hospital, he might have done the same thing as the normal waiting hour in the emergency is in excess of 4 or 5 hours. He might have done the same kind of stuff in the Emergency waiting room and the RCMP while Tasering him at the hospital emergency room might have injured / killed others who were near him.
Kudo's to the RCMP to have identified this kind of immigrant at the airport itself and killed him, then and there , sparing us of any more deaths/injuries inside the city.

You Lost the Plot Buddy ...
There are better ways to Pacify such behaviour than to use 4 Taser Shots in flat 25 Secs. Question should be "HOW" and not "WHAT" RCMP did. If it is wrong, it is wrong - Identify it & Rectify. Why do you want to go over board to Defend it?

I am not saying Taser shots killed him. The guy just freaked out, hearing that first shot. He realised the "trouble" the time RCMP stepped in.

How could you compare Canada to ME? There are so many other things that Middle East is doing to Foreigners. If Canada starts doing that, we would not have been here talking this.

You set the Bar & live upto it (if not over it). There are let-offs but than lowering the bar is not the solution ...

It is all Canada's fault, for not installing signs in Polish at its airports

he also threw a computer from the airport counter on the ground and broke it and tried to barricade himself in an area where public are not allowed. All this happened because Canadian government didn't make it mandatory for to have staff at the airports that can speak all the thousands of languages across the world.

And when this guy is behaving in dangerous way, it is all RCMP's fault to use Taser instead of allowing themselves to be stabbed or hurt because (according to some of the posters here on CD) RCMP is supposed to have some sixth sense and understand that this guy is not someone who is mentally ill and not hence may not harm them and hence shouldn't use a taser.

What happened is sad but there is a reason why this happened. Who in the world would travel to a country when you can't speak even a little of one of the two official languages?

Nothing in this world can justify a 'killing', ok? Whatever he was and whether he spoke the language or not, there are ways for the 'Trained' RCMP officers to avoid tihs killing/murder by them.

So, as per your rationale, only English speaking people can come to Canada??

Ask the mother who lost her only son!!!

Is it cultural for human race to justify an innocent death. He was harmless and frustrated but some of us see sense in putting him down. I am disappointed with the stand a common man takes to justify death of a human being then wakes up every morning and prays for his / her family safety and prosperity. Poor man was a family man too.

The comments on this thread seem to consistently suggest that the man was deliberately killed or 'put down'.

The taser is intended as a 'non-lethal' weapon; not the same as if a Mountie had discharged a weapon.

Whether the use of the taser was excessive for the circumstances is for the investigation to determine.

But it did result in the death of a supposedly innocent man .... whether it was the taser or its mishandling still amounts to blame on the RCMP . Similar to a guy who was gunned down in London as an aftermath of the bombings.
