IT IS GOOD DR SHARDA returned back to his medical practice. It is better for everyone to concentrate on the job they specialise in. The two good programmes which u can always listen to are Riyadh sangeet radio on am530 from 6 to 8am on sat and sun and suresh gossain on AM770 from 5 to 7pm on sundays only.All other programmes are basically a source of money earning techniques for the hosts.I have stopped listening to double dadra now or varuos listings or dont drink and drive programmes as if they are really worried abt us.

Are you planning to start one on this subject? I am raedy to partcipate right from inception to action.
Actually I am doing some 'homework' (good point you make Maharaj) on this. There are a couple of radio stations willing to do this but want the host to work for free- typical. Their argument is that because you are hosting the show you will automatically get referrals and business so why charge the radio station. The program alone will generate business for us.That is possible because I do remember writing for a newspaper several articles last year on RESP for free and that alone generated good business for me.
However do you know of any stations that do talks on finances in Hindustani or English. The two radio stations who are willing to do this say there are a couple in Punjabi- just weekly shows, not daily and so the radio stations willing to come on board also want a weekly and if it gains popularity they will do it 2X a week and increase if need be.
Most shows in Hindi or English are on mortgages and real estate. Is that your experience as well?

Hi- from talking to various hosts, they do not make much money, it is the radio stations that do with all the ads they get.
Do you know of any host that makes real good money? Or is that your assumption?
If you do know of any- please let me know.There might be a couple here or there. They say Ranbir Chauhan made good money but few others.

That exactly is the Problem. There are Business Owner who wants to promote the business while Radio Station provides them the platform.
To improve "Hosting" Quality, you need professionals - not business owners. To tell u the truth, I have switched to 680News from Desi Radio because of:
1. Host.
2. No Humor/Fun.
3. Everyday you get "Specialist" who talk about themselves (ofcourse they will as they are paying) & Business in general. If you ask specific Question, you dont get direct answer but they throw a number to call.
I won;t be switching back, as long as these Specialist keep coming back & talk same thing over & over. Nothing New that we already have not heard before on show (may be different station).

Pinki is good but has commercialised now like other people.

and last but not the least u keep listening to MAC(mutual appreciation club) and listings only along with double dadra and spanish guitar on your SAFAR--aap ke safar main aap ka humsafar aaj ka programme paish kar rahe hain---

Besides learning that every second song composed has double dadre ki beat and spanish guitar , here are a few more gems from the aforesaid program -
- the "timber" in Mukesh's tone
- While Vishal-Shekhar are "melody' musicians, A.R Rehman is "electronic' and Himesh is "popular"
- Music Director Ravi only used Asha and Mahendra
- Every instrument can be heard in Rajesh Roshan compositions
...and so ...
