Hi All,

Got the PR Visa today! My timelines are as follows:

Applied: Sept 2001
Interview Waiver: Feb 2003
Medicals: April 2003
Passports sent: August 2003
2nd FBI Clearance sent: Nov 2003
e-Client status changed to DM: Jan 28, 2004
PR Visa Recd: Feb 10, 2004

why was the 2nd FBI clearance required?

Hi Ashish,

The 2nd FBI clearance was required as the previous one was over 1 year old.....

Congrats Desibabu...

can you please tell me where did u apply from , Delhi India??

Also can anyone tell me what is the FBI clearance..is it the same thing as the PCC (I submitted PCC with my application)

I applied in Sep 2002...with IELTS score of 7.5 in all ...can you tell me what are my chances and when will I hear from CIC.

Hi Kiran,

Yes, I applied at CHC New Delhi. FBI clearance is required if you have lived in the U.S. for more than 6 months during the last 10 years. Since you have applied in Sept 2002, I presume you should get your visa in Feb 2005.....this is just a guess......
