Hi Group

I was just wondering if anyone is using any kind of appliance at home to control dust particles. My home is collecting so much of dust that I am worried that all my electrical & exectronic appliances will get spoiled. I cleaned all the ducts at home thinking that might help. but the dust is still collecting as before. Any tips on what i can do.

Thanks for any help

Cheers

Buy an air purifier. It might help to some extent.

One kind of air purifier is, as mentioned in last post, with filters. The air is forced to circulate with motored fan; and dust particles are trapped in the filter(s). These filters need cleaning as per instruction manual with the gadget.

Another type is electrostatic filters, working on the principle of positively and negatively high voltage charged plates as used in coal fired themo-electric plants (on a much smaller scale for domestic usage). I have one at my home installed in series with air supply line from furnace (A.C. in summer). For cleaning, all I need to do is- pull a tray and throw the dust out.
