Dear All,
Thank you very much for your guidance. Now I feel much confident. With my work experience my score is 75 so I now think that I might get immigration. Can I mention to the Canadian High Commission that I gained my experience while I was studying and I used to work after my University hours?
However I have some other problems also, they are regarding filling of forms and proof of funds.
1. Form IMM 0008 egen (Application for Permanent Residence in Canada)
In this form there is a field asking for number of persons included in your form. I am not married so do I have to include my father and mother in my form.
On the form it is written that \"How many family members including yourself are included in this application for permanent residence in Canada? My mother and father are not going to accompany me to Canada so as per this criteria number becomes One (1).
However in the guide for filling of forms, it is mentioned that all family members whether accompanying or not should be included in this field and in the guide it is said that
“Family member include • Spouse: A husband or wife of the opposite sex
• Common-law partner: A person of the opposite or same sex with whom you have lived
in a conjugal relationship for at least one year
• Dependent children: Daughters and sons, including children adopted before the age of
18, who:
• are under the age of 22 and do not have a spouse or common-law partner;
• have been continuously enrolled as full-time students and financially supported by
their parents since turning 22 (or from the date of becoming a spouse or common-law
partner if this happened before the age of 22); or
• have substantially depended on the financial support of their parents since before
turning 22 and are unable to support themselves due to a medical condition”
So they have not mentioned parents. I am confused about whether to include my Parents in the number or not.
I am confused about this. Based on family members I will have to show proof of funds so if my family members are not going to accompany me to Canada, how much funds should I show?
For one person amount is CAD 9420
For three persons amount is CAD 14645.
2. On the page 2 (Two) of the same form there is a section for Details of Family Members. In this section also they have asked information family members and they have said that applicant must provide information about all family members whether accompanying to Canada or not. Should I mention my mother and father here?
3. In the same form point 12. Education asks about “how many years of Formal education do you have?” I have completed First year of My Masters and has cleared for Second year which is the last year. So can I mention that I have 17 years formal education? However since convocation ceremony is in December I have not received any Certificate. So in the second part of the question what is your highest level of completed education can I say Masters Degree or should I say Bachelors degree?
4. Imm0008_1e (Schedule 1 Background/ Declaration)
The instructions in this form say \" The principal applicant, his or her common law partner, if applicable, and all dependant children aged 18 years or older listed in the application of permanent residence must complete their own copy of this form\" Now this categorically excludes mother and father so does this mean they don’t have to fill their own copy of this form?
I know I am asking too many questions, please help me.
Thanking you
Amol
