Hi
My sister is sending her 12 yeard girl to india for study in very reputable english medium schoool.
What are the steps that she has to take before sending her their.
such as : dose she required any Visa ? or any permission ?
where do we have to register in canada.
if anybody has exprience with thier own kid or is anybody has knowledge about it please let me konw.
thank you
If the kid is not an Indian citizen, you will need visa/PIO/OCI. Not sure about permission etc... There are NRI quotas in certain colleges and all at a higher fees. You can contact the right Indian consulate for that - based on where you are located at.
If the school in India has already been decided, then you can ask them for what documents they need. It varies a lot from school to school. Some ask the whole ramayana... some needs just the TC. I know one case where they asked for a conduct certificate!
Will her education be recognized when she comes back to Canada?

HI,
My daughter studied from standard 2 to standard 5 incl in India. However in standard 2 all she did was pass a written and oral exam and was accepted.
There were no higher fees.
No permission was required from anywhere. Actually I am confounded by your questions regarding that and registration in Canada. Visa is only required is she is a Canadian citizen o/w no.
When my daughter came back here, the dumb ass (excuse the expression 'cos I personally think the education here in grade 6 is no where compared to J.B. Petit and St. Helena's in Mumbai and Pune- so I call all the public schools dumb ass here) school and teachers put her in an ESL program though her English was far superior to any of the other students who had studied here from childhood. All her other subjects were the same. The fol year when the teachers realised she wasn't challenged in English, they took her off the ESL (To their credit they realised her English was very good within a month but couldn't change the course midway or so they claimed). So be prepared for that in case the child gets parent/home-sick and wants to come back to Canada, esp if it is after 2-3 years. Not a big deal though.
Anyway, my personal opinion is that a primary education in India in a good school far beats education here in an ordinary public school and being a guest teacher at some of the private schools, I think the better schools of Mumbai and Pune whup the private schools I have guest lectured at here in TO, anytime anyday anywhere anyhow any old manner
But again that's my personal opinion.

I am not too sure if it will be, but my question is why shouldn't it be?

I guess study in India on early Age is better for kids if you want them to learn your own culture.
My niece is old enough to recognize her parents and families. All we wanna do is send her thier till secondary education then if she wants will bring her back for further study in Canada or USA.
considering the fact ( not 100% cases) that kids get spoilled here because of lack of attention from parents ( work -work) and the spoilled modernized north american culture, we rather take chance to put her in nice shcool in india for couple of years so chances are they learn to respects the indian culture , know the value of our society and religion. also study in india will develop Strong maths skills ( which required for future development) as well as General knowledge. ( Again this is only chance that people can take - no garrenties).
about parent and family - in hostels kids are only allow to have few days off - so parents can visit her those time or may be they can bring her back for vacation in canada every year so she want forget her canadian culture also that she can easily feet after.
lets hope this works !!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks folks
