On work permit.Can I apply for PR just for myslf for now&sponsor wife later

Hi,
I am living in Canada since Aug 2006. I came on a student VISA and now on a work permit and living and working in Vancouver. My wife is back home in India doing her M.Phil. I am applying for PR now. I have already filled up the required forms under the Federal Skilled worker class and I have all the paper work and supporting documents ready for my PR application.
My query is that if its possible for now to apply for PR just for myself but do mention & include my wife in it so that I can sponsor her later. If its possible...will she have to fill up these forms as well?

She is very busy at the moment with her thesis and I would like to apply as for now just for myself being the primary applicant. I just wanna pay fee for one person at the moment and later on sponsor her and pay her fee when I get my PR. Is it possible? Please let me know ASAP. Awaiting your reply eagerly.

If you leave out that fact from your application, CHC is bound to find out during background checks and will invalidate your application.
Even if it's not discovered now, when you try to sponsor her later, they will find out and at that time your PR could be revoked.

If you wish to settle in Canada permanently as a family, you have to find some time to fill out a few forms.
I'm not saying it's a 1 hr. job, but surely you can find some time.
If she is really that busy, you can fill out her forms.
The additional fees at this time are better than the hassle of sponsorship later.
If you indeed don't want to apply for her now, I believe there is a declaration that she will have to fill out.
And I think she might still have to get medicals done.
