I read lot of sponsorhip details in charcha. Your guidance and answers are very helpful. At least we know where to start or what to do.

My Question: My Mother is widow and I have 2 brothers in India, both of them have applied to immigrate to Canada. If they are successful to immigrate to canada (which I don't see a problem as both are well qualified and have requisite points) how can I get my mother in Canada ASAP.

I am a Canadian citizen and meet the requisite income criteria to sponsor my mother. The problem is the timing involved in the sponsorship process in New Delhi as it is taking around 3 years and I expect my brothers to be here in about a year's time. What should I do, is there any way to speed up the whole process on humanitarian gronds.

There will be no body to look after my mother, once my brothers are here in Canada. And also if you can throw some light or give us some links to understand why Canadian Govt. cancelled 'LAST REMAINING FAMILY MEMBER' programme.

My mother did visit on Visitors visa in the year 2001, I am planning to apply for her 5 year multiple visa, once I sponsor her will that have any impact on her Visitor's visa?

You can try to get your mum here on a visitor's visa and apply from within Canada on compassionate grounds.
