I need to move a few crates or cartons of used home stuff to India. These have literally no monetory value, but lots of sentimental value. Each crate would probably be around 30 kgs. I need advise on what is the best process to move this stuf and any contact details of good movers. Freight time involved in moving the cargo to India is not a priority. I have contacted CanadaPost and their charges are too high, in hundreds of dollars for each crate.
I am located in the GTA.
hi
pls check with schenker and you can avail the option of sea / air based on the price.
i got a lot of household stuff moved from India through them and they were competitive in price as compared to any other logistic solution / company.
if you will take any cheap carrier they at the end of the day there will be so many hidden charges that you will end up paying too much then budgeted.
also you can ask them to quote on all options
1) from home including packing to destination address delivered at home ,by sea as well as by sir
2) from toronto to destination by sea / air
also just check regulation on the indian custom formalities on the imports
Thanks for the suggestions. I will definately check Schenker out.
