Most of the employer benefit plans are quite extensive, that many of us are not using them at maximum benefit.

I would like to know and start a thread here to discuss and find sources "How to maximize / utilize Employer's health benefits" .

For example, I have coverage of $500 for Acupuncture therapy per year. Does anyone know any source where I can get just receipt or receipts (claim-able) for a portion of my claim amount. Just receipt, not actual service. This could mutually beneficial to both , service provider and plan member.

There are plenty of other alternative therapies and heath services covered by employers health plan.

Any advice/ guidance/ comments are welcome!!!!

So you want just receipts - without the service. This is illegal.

Kumar,
this is Canada. This is a land where you can hardly cheat the Govt. or System. The technology and the system is so advanced and sophisticated that you can hardly cheat it.
The max. that you can do it that you can utilise the benefits ( Acupunture, Physiotherapy, Audiology, Dental, etc...) and get the benefits.
For many service, you may have to co pay. For the service that I have, I need to pay 20% towards the dental fee where by 80% is paid by the insurance plan. I have found a dental clinic in Mississauga, where they (the dental office) happily pay the 20% that we have to pay. On top of it, they give a dental floss and a toothbrush (on the first viist). So what you can do it that you can utilize your dental coverage to the max. benefit.
You can viist various offices, if you have time ( like Physiotheraphy, Optometry, Acupunture, Audiology) to see what kind of discounts they give to enlist you to their service and then use these services to your benefit and gain.
If your optometry test gives you free eye glasses once every 3 years (max. $ 300 as an example), then try to get the eye glasses for your personal keeping thereby taking full advantage of your right.
That is the max. that you can do in Canada.

I would imagine that the original poster is still new to the Canadian culture : He does not seem to understand the implications of stuff like this......... Probably the poster spent 20 or 25 years in India - it does take time for the culture of getting fake certificates, fake bills, receipts etc to get flushed from the system.

It would be wrong to say, on the other hand that corruption does not exist : It does exist in high places, where the figures run into six zeros.

That said, let us not screw the not so corrupt system.
