Do not be fooled by consultants who claim that they have a lawyer working for them. Always insist on getting written confirmation from the Canadian lawyer or else you might be risking your chances.
Buyer beware!

Some people make Things happen, Some watch Things happen, While others wonder what has happened.............
i mean processing centre or embassy where the transfer the case for interview.
Dear Fellow Friends,
I am rather in a similar senior regarding an immigration company and I was wondering if any one could help and give me better insight on this.
Last may 2004 I went through RSS “ROBINSON SHEPPARD SHAPIRO” web link (www.rsscanadaimmigration.com) for online migration assessment and promptly after my assessment I was advised - I did not meet the required points, however due to my qualifications & work experience in the culinary industry I can obtain a work permit provided an Canadian employer is willing to hire me, and alternatively I was given a web link to get my work permit assessment done, so I followed the next step as advised and submitted my resume.
Shortly I was approached by the firm that carried out my assessment towards work permit “http://www.immigrationvisa.ca” notifying me that they had an interested Employer in Canada who has an opening for me and would like to hire me. Now in order to initiate the process towards obtaining the work permit the firm sent me the contract letter & fee structure. The fee being USD $15000/- towards, finding a job, obtaining work permit and finally processing my permanent residency for Canada.
Being a Chef in India with a moderate income of INR Rs.35k per month before tax, I thanked them and said the package was way too expensive and is out of my budget i.e. I can’t afford it. Few days down the line a representative from RSS called me and I expressed my concerns regarding the fee, thus leading to the immigrationvisa.ca firm calling me back and negotiate on a package that I could financially afford. So a new package of USD$ 4500/- towards finding a job and obtaining work permit from HRDC was verbally agreed upon.
However with so many scams relating to Immigration and jobs I decide to do a little research on my own on the firm before signing the contract and sending the initial deposit of USD$2000/- the only information I could obtain was this firm is an associate to “Rosenblatt associates” thus confusing me of their link with RSS “ROBINSON SHEPPARD SHAPIRO”. Upon requesting for clarification on this I was advised by the firm immigrationvisa.ca that he is basically linked to all these immigration firms and his firm is technically a Job recruiting firm and he had received my case from RSS.
So in a nutshell now he has found me a job, I have received an Offer of Employment letter from the employer and to confirm this I called the Exec. Chef and spoke to him in Ontario, confirming my recruiter’s authenticity and the position offered, but however I am still a little unsure as the entire process till this date was carried unprofessionally i.e. the contract letter with technical errors, the Offer of employment letter being vague and ink prints being smudged. The funny bit is despite sending him the corrections to be made on the contract letter; I received the same errored letter with an additional page of the points I had indicated where changes had to be made. Any way one other important thing is he has assured me verbally that the net USD$4500/- is inclusive of the fees for RSS as they will represent my case, but nor do I have this in fine prints from my recruiter nor from RSS yet.
So has any one had a similar experience or knows anything about something like this?? As I haven’t signed the contract letter nor have I sent the wire transfer yet till I am 100% sure that this is the correct way and the people I am dealing with are 100% genuine in accordance to the Canadian Immigration Law.
Your help in this regard will be much appreciated and if things go well hope to see yall in Canada soon.
Warm regards
Natt
I presume this is another racket ....the unconventional way..... when traditional routes fail. Remember there is nothing so easy in life... right...

Manan
Thanks Sudhish & Manan Gupta for your feed back.. You reckon there is some legitimate way to confirm with the HRDC or CIC about my recruiters firms operational status, and do yall reckon I should try and call RSS head office to do a background check on this recruitment firm?? As RSS & Rosenblatt associates check out clean with the following associations:-
• Canadian Bar Association
• Barreau du Québec
• Law Society of Upper Canada
• Law Society of Alberta
• International Bar Association
• International Law Association
• American Bar Association
• American Immigration Lawyers Association
• Association of Trial Lawyers of America
• American College of Trial Lawyers
• Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal
And my recruiters firm http://www.immigrationvisa.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK is listed with Rosenblatt Associates as one of their offices (http://www.immigrate.net/law/en/WWOffice/default.asp) under Office in Asia > India, Montreal. And also I was referred to this recruiter by RSS (ROBINSON SHEPPARD SHAPIRO).
Any suggestions here friends??
Thanks a million in advance.
Warm regards
Natt
