Based on what I have read, if you have obtained Canadian citizenship you cannot use your Indian passport.

If applicant has applied for Canadian Citizenship Undertaking that Indian Passport will be surrendered to the Indian Consulate once you get Canadian Citizenship.

thanks for the reply.
is the pio card the same as having an indian passport.
what about if u have real estate back home.
any hope of the pio fees comming down anytime soon.
from what i read, an OCI card is better than a PIO card.
am i right about this?
is the OCI the most recent of the options for a person wishing to hold both canadian and indian citizenship?
if an OCI is better than a PIO why dont they stop issuing new PIO cards
thanks for any answers in advance

PIO is NOT the same as Indian passport. See the Indian consulate homepage for the details. It does not prevent you from owning the real-estate (except the agricultural land).
