Hi,
I am about to apply for a Permanent residence card of Canada from the United States. I am an Indian s/w engrr and have travelled to different countries on projects.
Can anyone who has gone thru the process tell me whether I have to submit the police verification of those countries at the application stage or can it be provided later on and within what time?...
Thanks a lot for the responses in advance.
Hi,
Generally if you have resided in a country for MORE than SIX months, they will ask for PCC for EACH of the countries that you resided.
So, please be guided by it.
Freddie.
Whatever i Know they will ask each country PCC where you live. In my case i applied for PR for canada in 2000. I got my PR status in 2005 and came in canada in around may 2006. Now during period of 1996 to 2003 i was out of country for project work. like 4 years in africa and around 3 years in Bhutan. When i got interivew call from Delhi Embessey. They took my interview with my wife around 2 and half hour and than they told me to provide PCC for each country which i shawn in my work experience.
To get PCC is very lengthy process, if you are not in physhcially present in particular country which are you asking for PCC than is more difficult to get.
I personally went to get my PCC from bhutan and i provided. First i gone through communication between embessey. I applied to Bhutan embessey and wait wait and wait NO reply from thereside. Than i decided to go personally and I got my PCC within one hour. Most important thing after two and half years passed recenly i got letter from embessey at my back home that please provice information, Form, etc,,,Blah..blah...
My advice better you go yourself (if possible) and get your PCC. Otherwise you will wait and wait until tired.
All the best.................
