Hi,
The police officer says it is not at all my problem. Bank cleared the cheque and bank has to file a complaint. So tell the bank to give a statement mentioning the victim of the fraud. Then we will go ahead. I went to bank and asked exactly the same and then bank said they will take care of it.
They have a internal fraud department and they will take care of it. So i got a afidavit signed myself & wife and gave it the bank. Now bank will enquire and if possible they will complain to the police. Bank knows this and they don't want to tell in the first time it happened itself.
I will keep you posted.
Thanks
I don't understand this - a crime has been committed and the Police have not registered a complaint - is it because its not criminal in nature ?maybe .
What if the bank tries to cover this up . Please keep us posted.
