Hiren,

Thanks for sharing. I was unaware of any such law.

Thanks for sharing the wealth, I am sure the Police, Fire and Ambulances runs lights and siren in order to save our families, whether we had a health emergencies, break and enter, kids chocking, house on fire, etc.

These emergency vehicle runs fast to safe our lives and secure our neighbour hoods, fail to yeild for emergency vehicle is a serious offence and a person may charge as discussed in this blog.

Please do slow down as you see an emergency vehicle and if the Police or Ambulace tries to pass you do steer to right, slow down and come to a comlete stop as it is safe to do so.

Wait for 10-15 sec its a 1 and 1 rule. If one emergency vehicle is responding there will always be a back up.

Just think this way may be Police, Ambulance Fire may attend the scene few second earlier and might save you family or house your love one from a tragedy.

Even if you are pulled over by Police do not panic, slow down check the mirrors and steer to right and slowly stop the vehicle, don move in the vehicle stay put and keep your hands on the wheel, if its night time turn on the roof light so Police can see inside the car.

This will make the Officer easy to determine the occupants in the vehicle and should not concern for officer safety.

Thansk and Drive safe every where as you drive in your own neighbour hood.
