Hi all,
I live in mississauga(Ontario) My problem is my husband sponsored me in canada....after our marriage..and since i got here his behaviour was so strange....and after 6 months....he threw me out....he doesn't have any reason for this, probably he is having affair with somebody else...so i had to leave house....we been seprated since 9 months now......now i want to complain in immigration department...coz he sponsored me and just kicked me out...i want this guy to be punish....he is trying to get his citizenship now.....
Anybody can tell me how to put complain against spousal sponsorship violation in immigration CIC ....How CIC can help me out with this problem...........
If anybody knows how to contact CIC and let them know about this desecration.........as well as i want tp put complain in India too...
Does anybody know where i am supposed to contact in india??
I would really appreciate if i get my answer ASAP

Hi Freddie,
IMHO, Women's shelter is the last place she should go ( Keep in mind that she will be in company of drug addicts, homeless women and other types of .'screwed up' women)

Well thanx for reply..but i think i shd make my situation more clear....
We been seprated since from 9 months now....i can support myself very well..i talked with 5-6 lawyers , and regarding spousal support they have told me i would not get probably anything...coz marriage time period was too short and we were making same money when we were together....
Some of peoples told me to go for welfare or this kind of shelter..so they might inform to CIC and then he has to pay me, coz he signed that sponsorship agreement when he sponsored me, but its gonna happen when i can't support myself....
Since i am doing good..so there is no sense in fighting case for spousal support, thats what most of peoples and lawyers told me...
I am looking to punish him in anyway...does anybody in india how i can approach this situation??

Since you have gone through a battery of lawyers and know the final outcome through them, I will pursue other avenues that are available. Please search and find them too.
As you say there are other methods that you have uncovered and will be more effective to your cause. You can recover almost everything that was spent by you and your folks. Hence please be cool and level headed. It will take its own time. Here patience is a virtue.
My referring you to a women's shelter as a safe refuge is, because the Government supports these shelters and also provides them with all of the avenues to move on in life and also provides them with residences at the low income apartments. I also know a few case workers that are in that institution who are doing excellent work in helping all the women that enter in those shelters and currently are on their own and are moving on in life confidently and are back on their own two feet.
Most important part is that they conduct an inquiry and the legal system enters into the picture, and that is what the lady mammta is looking for, which is, 'a pound of flesh'. Hope you find it in your own way.
I want to congratulate you. You are a very brave lady and from our home country.

I see that he is not a Canadian Citizen yet. I assume your marriage took place in India and you may have your marriage certificate too.

There are some new rules inplace that support situations like yours.
In my opinion you should lodge complaint against him in India too.
If an official case is made against him in India or here then CIC can be informed as a result of which they might take a decision against granting him Citizenship.
It is very couragious of you to take a stand and wow to bring him to book!
I am not an expert or a lawyer but brain storming on this site by all Cds may generate some good ideas to help you win!

Thanx all of guys...but i'll try to put complain against him in national commision for women...thanx for LINK "Hello-G".....
Time is running out of hands....he has been completed his 3 years in canada and trying to get citizenship....thats why he mentioned wrong sepration date in divorce notice as well....which i already contested by replying him....and delayed divorce case for another 3 months....
Anyways...let see what happens....some peoples could be very creepy.....
