It is a requirement that you are a PR in good standing and live in Canada when you sponsor your parents. Otherwise the chances of refusal are high. If you leave Canada after their application is approved, you are in breach of this requirement and if CIC becomes aware of the fact the application and approval may be canceled.
Thanks Yellowknife . But is it not so that if a person is maintaining his PR obligations he is in good standing (2/5 rule ) . Or is it that upon sponsorship the requirements change ?
