Me and my family are having citizenship oath shortly. My question is after taking oath, I presume my Indian citizenship is gone, however I can apply for PIO or OCI status. But during this transition period, from being citizen to getting OCI status it may take 4 to 6 months(not very sure how long it takes)what happens to the property (house and plots) we own India. Can they be still legally on our names during the period when we are canadian citizens, but are waiting to get OCI cards/status.
Any input wil be appreciated.
