To apply for OCI we need to provide photo copies of all documents, as well as we need to show them the originals to them. They verify those and return.

I am not sure what is the case when some one applies OCI in mail.

I had to provide my family with copies of the same that you were trying to get ONE copy of, and later on I found that, from the Immigration Office that I visited, and in person told me, to obtain ADDITIONAL copies from the same department for my family, because, they for some reason, do not approve any other form, OTHER than the ORIGINALS.

Since you are at that juncture, I thought I will bring this to your attention as information. (Which you have also stated in your posting.) The board will also come to know about their requirements. Thanks for pointing it out that there was no query in your posting of that date. It is redundant.
