Just wondering if anyone recently bought Tube or CRT TV
At present there are some good offers on such TV.
While inquiring come to know that such TV's will be outdated or one has to buy Digital Box in order to use.
Is it True?
when is this conversion happening in Canada? Is it different in different Provinces? Like Ontario or Alberta
So what exactly is this Digital Box?
Do all Tube or CRT requires this digital box?
From where one can buy this digital box? Like Future shop or Best But & how much does it cost?
Is it worth to buy now or wait till this Conversion happens?
Any input is appreciated

Some clarifications to the OP :
1. All TVs being sold since 1999 are digital TVs, you dont need anything extra to view digital pictures.
2. If you are using free to air antenna to receive the TV channels. you will continue to receive them as current.
3. If you are using any satellite or cable company to receive your TV channels, you will still continue to receive them as current.
4. Cable companies like ROGERS are promoting the use of digital boxes - just increase thier control and revenue.
5. With the changing trend, more than 60% of households will be viewing High Definition channels by 2011- for which you will need a HD ready or HD TV.
