Yes, you are right, the admin is logging almost every week into my PC and I have a gut feeling that he is reading all my office mails. Can he copy all the emails to the person who has requested to read all my emails ? There is one person (gora) who is trying his level best to take my place. I'm also aware that my coworkers are snooping in my cubicle when I'm not around. I've taken some precautionary measures, but you never know.

Yes.
Officially this happens when someone leaves company and the replacement needs to refer to old emails.

You are still trying to figure out after all these months? Thats astonishing. You should talk to Manager/HR ... if you still don't feel comfortable - I would say Quit the Job. Whats the point in living in Hostile Environment. You are damaging your health and your family's health.

Hello all,
I am not an expert in this but as far as my knowledge goes, there are many s/w available to monitor Employee activity and that includes their current screen. This means that your boss can see what is on your screen without actually coming down to your seat!!!
Netmonitor,Keylogger, eye spy pro, KGB employee montor to name a few.
So if your performance is fluctuating, they can catch you with all details about wher have you been on internet or who have you called and how many times etc . BIG Boss is watching!
Some companies have rationed time for personal use of resources and/or separate designated areas where employees can use computers/phones etc for personal use. If you stick to this, you save yourself lot of unnecessary trouble!
P.S :-just to give a hands on..go to the Chrcha main page and scroll down to end of page and click on Active Users and you can see what all 'active/ logged in' users are currently doing on the CD website.
Take Care
There have been cases back home where employees would log into their accounts and then go on personal errands. They would make sure to return back to their cubicle to log out for the day.
To counter this, companies had to flag computers that were logged on for a long periods but with no keypad activity. Then they were further scrutinised by actually sending a person to physically verify that terminal.
Buggers(employees) even installed software that simulated typing
. So employers had to finally have NSA/CIA like pocedures to track people.
Employees punched in for the day would be entered into a database and linked to their log-in terminals, which was matched to key logging , web surfing was monitored(more than porn, people were looking for jobs elsewhere using current employer's computer) and the security guard physically took everybody's signature when entering and exiting the building.
Now IT companies have good metrics. They give you a certain job and ask to complete it in given time. As a result they give employees maximum flexibility. As long as you can make it to the important client and team meetings and if you can keep in touch/teleconferance with your team with cell and computer, you can work even from your own home.

I was taught this by a good friend during my first few week at job:
anything provided by company for your job is for business purpose and must be used strictly for business purpose.
I followed that rule, and trust me, that makes life easy. Follow this rule and let the world spy on you! Why do you care? You got nothing to hide.

Damage, yes thats the point. They harass you until you quit and I am the umpteenth person who is facing their hostility. They have a wide network and might spoil my future career prospects. I want to quit gracefully without burning any bridges. Well quitting in India is ok, since references are not that important, but in north america where your job is mainly dependent on references you have to build a good rapport with your teammates.
