Family stream
The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) introduced a new Family Stream on June 19, 2008. Applications are currently being accepted for this stream.
Family Stream News Release
The AINP will be hosting information sessions for Albertans with family members abroad who may wish to sponsor their family members under this stream. This site will be updated once dates have been scheduled for these sessions.
Note: A limited number of applications per year will be accepted under this stream. When this number is reached, applications will be returned and a notice will appear on this page.
About the Family Stream
In order to facilitate a process for Alberta families who wish to encourage family members overseas to immigrate to the province to participate in Alberta’s labour market, the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) will consider applications under the Family Stream. This new stream will help Alberta meet its workforce needs while creating more diverse and welcoming communities for all our families.
Self-Assessment
Candidates must be able to answer “Yes” to each of the following basic factors and criteria listed below for the AINP to consider your application. If you answer “No” to any of the factors below, you should not submit an application. A positive self-assessment, based on the factors below, does not guarantee an approval from the AINP.
