Hi guys,
i've registered self proprietary business on my name and also working for IT company. I had some income on business while working in Toronto but now I have been moved to Ottawa and there is no income on this business.
Now, I do not wish to include business related information in my tax return of year 2009. [Means the tax return of year 2008 should be last year for my business]. I want to unregister/close my business.
Is it necessary to take any action before december 2008?
Is it okay if I'll follow business closing formalities after December 2008 and before tax return of year 2008 [apporox. March 2009]?
Thanks in Advance

Cyberian is 100% right. Even after 2.5 years USA experience, it was hard for me to enter into canadian market.
I entered in IT field by co-op program which Cyberian suggested in his comment.
Note: Co-op is not guarntee of th job but it will help you to enter in field.
You should dedicate your time to look for job with co-op program. You must have plan to survive for 6 to 8 months without job.
I'll suggest following way to enter in your field
1) Make sufficient money (OR plan other way) to survive without job (6 to 8) months
2) Start co-op and decide that you are not going to do survival job. [$10/hour is fine but job must be in your field]
3) Spend your time for searching job and interviews during and after co-op program
4) I am sure you will definitely get entry into field
5) After 1.5 or 2 years experience, look for better offer and satisfied job.
Guys,
I'd started this thread and I am still looking for some information for closing business. Anyone have an idea?
Thanks,

Yes you can close it simply by fulfilling the closing formalities. I will advice you to sell your business. With this you will earn some money and the buyer got a settled business who is in need of it.
