Hi All,
I would like to know if somebody has any knowledge about a situation like mine. I sponsored my parents six years ago and their application was refused because my co-sponsor withdrew the sponsorship without telling me. My parents application is in process after the appeal case and our marriage is not working out. I want to know what will be the impact on my parents application if I separate from my spouse for divorce (spouse again signed for his support in the appeal process).
I would like to know if my sister can apply for study visa when a current application for family sponsorship is in process because it takes too long and she wants to study here.
I myself have enough income to support my sponsored family (in case I apply for divorce) but you never know if the immigration tells to start the application again since there has been early complications in my file - refusal, appeal, poison pen letters. In this scenario, I am thinking of getting my brother here on study visa and parents can come as visitor while the new application is started and in process.
Please please reply if you have any knowledge about such a situation.
Thanks.
Your best bet is to consult a settlement worker. If you are in GTA, then in one of the ealier threads you will find reference to Mr. Kalra in Missiassauga. He should be able to guide you in this matter.
