I have a Question ...

Last week my Mother got letter for another Medical Test. She basically has Arthritis ... and this second test was specifically for that.

It was done at Lilavati and Doctor did write in her report that Arthritis is not Active. Questionare was mostly in line of dependency. She can pretty much do everything independently.

I was just wondering (its too early) if they reject file for Arthritis or no.

If Arthritis is not Active then its not going to be an issue. My dad had an Epileptic attack few months before he visited me.This was his first ever attack and had no previous medical condition( No Sugar,BP etc) and it never occurred again. He was given a clean chit and visited me for 6 months .

if it is not active--the case will not be rejected. Is this for sponsorship or visitors visa ? My parents did medical in march but no news from CHC till now. They did medical for immigration based on my sponsorship.

It is for Sponsorship.

I dont exactly know what "Not Active" mean. The thing is that Pain is worst in morning & she takes a pill every morning & if she does not then its a lot difficult as day goes on. But if doctor says 'not active' in report then it must be :)

plse PM me your phone number so that I can call u. Within how much time was she told to go in for additional medical tests ? was it within one month or after 3 to 4 months of first test ? Active usually means something else but CHC is looking at it from the point of view that the canadian medical sysytem is not strained or it does not spread to others.

Mahraj,
Family sponsership is rejected if the sponsered family members are expected to strain the already over burdened health system of Canada. Having said that, this only applies to ailments for which immediate and costly treatment is required like Cancer treatment, By pass surgery, Kidney failures, Uncontrollable diabeties and other complicated diseases. The consulate does not reject for cases like Arthritis, High blood pressure, Diabeties, TB etc... In some cases CIC asks for secondary Medical so as to assess if he / she poses a risk to the general public and will advise you of what steps that you should take once reaching Canada (like reporting to a physician etc...). The latter applied to my in-laws (who were visiting) for TB.
So , be Joyful. Your mother's visa will come soon and she will in Canada.
Hope this helps.

Peace
