Hi ,
Anybody heard of union telecom for Long distance calling..
Want 40$ deposit
But rate is 2.9 cents per min to india and 1 cent to usa.
Please post experience
The dude
I havent tried them, but from thier website, it seems there is a connection fee per call of C$ 0.04 in addition to 3 cent/minute. Still they are cheaper than the rest. Need to research more.
Under FAQ it says that cost of call to mobile is more than landline in India - but thier rate chart mentions its the same.
Any other CDs with more info?
Hiren
Just going by their website http://uniontelecomcanada.com/tarifas.php Connection fee is 39.9 cents and not 4 cents and they have 3 minute rounding.
If you are going to make really long phone calls to India, then Telehop has a service for which you can talk unlimited for $2 per call (you can use some other service to check if the person is available to talk).

They will return your security deposit. They are cheat # 1. Pl. go in google & log in for Union telecom & read under complaints. There are two pags full of complaints.

I am using
G3telecom.ca -- Excellent Serice and Reasonable rates.
Also Stanacard.com .....Excellent service , i was using it when CAD $$ was at Par with USD....
But G3telecom. ca So far so Good....
I also use G3 telecom when calling from work. So far so good. Only problem is when calling BSNL number. Most of the times it wont work. I think its the BSNL problem. We have Airtel (both landline and mobile) that works out just fine with G3.
